A growing company

In 1980 in the village of "Salsomaggiore Terme (Parma Province, Emilia-Romagna), Gino Fratini dreamed of opening the best ice cream shop in the Riviera in Rue Massena, Nice.

Founded in 1990 as an Italian ice cream company, with its own production in the city of Nice, Riviera; this was the beginning of the story of a family business based on the quality of their products.

From the beginning it was characterized by a predominant focus on quality, hygiene and the desire to expand. The persistence of these characteristics was the hallmark of its founder, Gino Fratini, who later passed them on to their children, Alexander and Nicholas. It was them who transformed the family business in a modern group, a growing company, artisanal ice cream and cocktail bars with a fresh and urban touch, maintaining a constant attention for the high quality and artisan manufacturing methods.

Fratini Gino enjoyed a decade of experience in the field of pastry and ice cream, having managed an ice cream-cakes and pastry shop and ice cream lab to supply hotels and restaurants in Salsomaggiore Terme, and ice cream on the go in Saint Maxime, Saint Tropez, Antibes and Menton.

The continuing evolution of the company has expanded the product range, together with the main and most important: ice cream. Coffee, pancakes, waffles, pizza and cocktails were added to the menu.

Pinocchio has now 20 establishments in France and Spain. The manufacturing of its products are made in the Nice Group for France and for Spain in Benidorm. Gino Fratini's dream became true. With its ability, effort and determination, now the brand is present in the famous Rue Massena in Nice, with 5 ice cream shops.
